History

Elko-messut Tampereella 1991Bedika Oy was established in the year 1989 by the managing director Reijo Keskinen and Tarmo Ahonen.

The company began operating in Vartioharju, Helsinki, where the fireplace room of the house owned by Reijo Keskinen was transformed into the office and part of the garage into the warehouse of the new company. In these premises the company operated until the year 2000. In the first years not only the sales but also installation and service were handled by the owners of the company.

In the year 1999 Bedika was sold to Lektar Group and the green logo of the company changed into the red colour of Lektar Group.

In the year 2000 the office of Lektar Group moved to Malminkaari and the warehouse owned by the company was left in the premises of Hiekkakiventie. In the year 2008 Bedika with Lektar Group moved back to Hiekkakiventie in the renovated office premises opposite the warehouse building.

From the year 2003 the managing director of Bedika Oy is Tarmo Ahonen.

On the 1st of May 2010 Bedika bought the business operations of her sister company Oy Suomen HPK Ab and diversified her product range into packaging machines and -materials.
